Due Today: Voice Lessons “Diction” #3, 4, and 5 – Discussed answers.

Due for Tomorrow: “Diction” 6, 9, and 10

Background Info for “A Sound of Thunder” by Ray Bradbury – Begin reading the story. As you read, look for examples of Figurative Language and diction, noting how it contributes to tone and mood of the story.

REMINDER: 12-Sentence Paragraph for Characterization of a character in your choice novel is due: Friday, 10/31/14

In preparation for an upcoming homework assignment, begin looking in the editorial section of the newspaper (online or paper copy), and find one you would like to respond to. Cut it out and save it. I have several copies of the Rochester Post Bulletin in my classroom that you may use to look through. More instructions to follow.
