Discuss Turning Point of Romeo and Juliet
Watch Act III, Scenes 2 and 3. Take notes on the following: the characters of Romeo and Juliet and the parallels between the two scenes – how Romeo handles the situation and how Juliet handles the situation, as well as how the adults handle the situation. We are still looking at pairs: light/dark; old/young; oxymorons – Particularly note Juliet’s use of a series of oxymorons, and think about why Shakespeare used that particular stylistic device.
